Overview

The Tasmanian Institute of Sport’s purpose is to develop world class athletes. To support this, the TIS is invested in identifying and supporting the next generation of coaches within Tasmania.

The Tasmanian Institute of Sport Coaching Centre, (TCC), is an exciting initiative with the specific goal of increasing and developing coaches within Tasmania.

The purpose of the TCC is the delivery of high-quality coach development learning and leadership opportunities supporting Tasmanian coaches.

Scholarship Details:

The three programs outlined below are designed in partnership with Women’s Sport and Recreation Tasmania (WSRT) Paralympics Australia (PA) and the TIS to support the system wide commitment in Australia’s High Performance 2032+ Strategy (HP 2032+ Strategy) and to identify and support the next generation of coaches within Tasmania.

The Para coaching scholarships are a new initiative which will run alongside the existing TCC and WRST coaching scholarship program ensuring Tasmania and Australian athletes have access to the best coaches as they prepare for Brisbane 2032.
