Tasmanian Sporting Hall of Fame


The Tasmanian Sporting Hall of Fame is managed by the State Government through Creative Industries, Sport and Visitor Economy.

Nomination Form

Who is eligible? 

To be considered a person must meet the following criteria: 

  • have achieved outstanding performance in sporting competition while either identifying themselves as Tasmanian or acknowledging Tasmania as their home 

  • have participated in open competition at the highest level of their sport 

  • be retired from that level of competition for a minimum period of four years 

  • have exhibited a standard of behaviour that is fair, ethical and above reproach in relation to the rules and regulations of their sport and the community’s expectations. 

No distinction is made between amateurs and professionals or males and females. Selections will be made from as far back as records allow. 

Individuals considered for induction have, typically, represented Australia with a medal-winning or equivalent outstanding performance in their sport. 

Judging: 

Nominations will be considered by the Tasmanian Sporting Hall of Fame judging panel. Nominators will be advised of the outcome of their nomination. The judges’ decisions are final and no communication will be entered into regarding the judging of the nominations.
